Committee Structure

The Commission uses advisory committees to increase its efficiency. Committee meetings are open to the public, and subject to the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. Committee Chairs and Vice Chairs are appointed annually by the Commission Chair.

Apply to Serve on a Public Advisory Committee

The Commission is seeking passionate individuals to serve on our public advisory committees. We are currently recruiting members for the Client and Family Leadership Committee (CFLC) and the Cultural and Linguistic Competency Committee (CLCC). Committee members will provide technical and professional expertise by:

  • Guiding Commission research, project development, and grant initiatives.
  • Reviewing materials and providing recommendations on legislation and advocacy.
  • Ensuring our initiatives reflect the diverse voices and needs of Californians most impacted by behavioral health challenges.

Deadline: Applications are due no later than August 3, 2026.

Selections will be announced at the August 20, 2026 Commission meeting.
