Action Items
- Commissioners voted to adopt the Strategic Plan Update, 2026-2027. This update will be incorporated into the Commission’s current Strategic Plan through an addendum, ensuring the Commission’s priorities align with the Behavioral Health Services Act (BHSA).
- Commissioners approved seven county innovation projects and three contracts that support Commission operations. View the list of innovation projects and contracts here.
- During Closed Session, Commissioners approved the executive director’s fiscal year 2025–2026 performance evaluation and authorized a contract with Leading Resources Incorporated for fiscal year 2026–2027 to provide executive director performance review and coaching services
Ongoing Discussions
- Executive Director Brenda Grealish provided an update on the Governor’s May Revise highlighting significant proposed cuts to the Innovation Partnership Fund and the Community Advocacy Program and outlined the Commission’s strategic priorities and SMART goals under “Commission 2.0” to strengthen operations, commissioner alignment, and community engagement.
- Commission Chair Rowlett named Assembly Designee Rosielyn Pulmano as Vice Chair of the Budget and Fiscal Advisory Committee and Commissioner Mara Madrigal-Weiss as Chair of the Workplace Optimization Advisory Committee (WOAC), following current WOAC Chair Jay Robinson’s resignation from his Commission seat.
